What is an Install Fest?

An install fest is the big event ASULUG puts on each semester. It is a place for people new to Linux to come and learn about it. Volunteers from the LUG are available to assist people wanting to install Linux on their computers. It is a place where in person help is offered, and Linux related technologies are showcased. Free pizza, pop, and a prize drawing (funds permitting) are also at the event. If you are interested in Linux and have never used it before, this is a time where you can get one on one help with installing and using the system. If you are someone familiar with Linux, this is a place for you to come see what is happening and assist others.

When is it?

ASULUG tries to have two a year. One during the Spring semester and one during the Fall semester. Exact times, dates, and location will be posted in the news section after it has been planned for a given semester.

How Much Does it Cost?

It's free. There is no cost to come and participate. All costs associated with the event are paid with donations made to the LUG. However, we encourage you to make a donation in the donation jar -- That is what keeps us going!
